Drake collaboration for higher education sustainability gets $10M from Lilly Endowment

A collaboration among Drake University, Valparaiso University, the University of Evansville and North Central College received a total of $10 million in grant funding from Lilly Endowment Inc. through the third phase of its initiative Charting the Future of Indiana’s College and Universities, Drake University announced this morning. The grant supports the establishment of a cloud-based enterprise resource planning system. Drake and the three other institutions will form an independent nonprofit called the College and University Sustainability Project, or CUSP. CUSP intends to allow additional institutions to join the organization as it progresses, according to Drake’s statement. The Lilly Endowment, based in Indianapolis, launched its Charting the Future initiative in 2019 to help Indiana’s colleges and universities develop strategic planning initiatives for the future of higher education.
